Minute Baguette

I wonder if the proprietors of this sandwich shop in Aylesbury realised that there were two ways that their business’s name could be pronounced. I’m sure that the sandwiches they serve are of a generous size or maybe they’re going for the slimmers’ market?

And that letter m looks like it’s suspiciously escaped from a 1980s space invaders machine.

  1. Yes. And containing massive quantities of fat as well if it has mayonnaise on it — which is basically just fat and chemicals when it’s cheap.

It’s a typical choice for middle-class ignorant hypocrites who sneer at McDonald’s but are too ill-informed to realise how unhealthy their alternative choices are.

(This doesn’t imply that Minute Baguettes are in the unhealthy category as I’ve not looked at their menu so they may serve low-fat, low-salt food.)

  2. Isn’t that the real problem with even healthy eaters once you eat out all you can assume is that you are only going to be mildly or inadvertently poisoned?

Today I had my monthly craving for crap, no doubt prompted by talking about it yesterday, yet I went through the arches and at 1130 queues. It’s not fast then why have it. OK my alternate a Branston, Cheddar and tomato sandwich may not be anyone’s idea of health but as I made the bread at least I knew the salt in the bread 0.000 grms. Most sandwiches will have .6 to 1 grm of salt – 10 to 16.66% of your salt allowance in just the bread!
